Description

Bee Net is used throughout the citrus growing regions of the world to prevent unwanted pollination to occur in certain seedless mandarin varieties. Meyabond provides only the highest quality materials, and Bee Net is made from only 5000s HDPE with the highest rate of UV inhibitors available. This creates the strongest, longest lasting netting with the highest exclusion rate to ensure growers their orchard is free from bees. Our knotless weave pattern is becoming an industry standard due to its increased puncture resistance and its inability to tear down the seam. By limiting the amount of plant ‘grow through’ during the time it is applied, Bee Net from Meyabond is the strongest, longest lasting netting available.

The netting is meant to keep bees from pollinating seedless orange/tangerine trees. At issue are beekeepers who prize orange blossom honey and citrus growers who blame the bees for causing otherwise seedless citrus fruit to develop pips.

Exactly the same weave and construction as Original Drape Net, but lighter in weight (50g/m² compared to Drape Net 60g/m²). This directly correlates with the amount of time the nets are exposed to UV.
